We are fortunate enough in our line of work that we’re able to meet a lot of intriguing people. David and Ronee are no exception. The first time we broke bread with these two was during our initial meet and greet at Va de Vi Bistro & Wine Bar in Walnut Creek. (By the way, if you’ve never been there, go! Their food and wine pairings are worth experiencing.) We learned early on that these two shared an appreciation for art, good food, good wine, and great ambiance. . . and not necessarily in that order.
We met again for their engagement session and spent an entire day with them sharing stories while exploring the Northern California coast down to Big Sur. What stood out about them was how incredibly easy going these two were. Not only that, they were open for any adventure. It almost caught us off guard when we found ourselves capturing them climbing rocks, and edging towards cliffs
and jumping fences into forbidden territory. (I’ll just leave that part out.) ;-) Needless to say, we were excited about what their wedding would have in store.
On the day of the wedding, both David & Ronee got ready at the St. Regis in San Francisco. As an unusually record breaking heat wave started to rise in the city, the same easy going demeanor they had during the engagement session barely broke a sweat. The ceremony took place on the Mayor’s Balcony at San Francisco City Hall where family and friends witnessed these two FINALLY get married. A traditional tea ceremony was held thereafter followed by a candle lit dinner reception at Quince Restaurant in the Jackson Square neighborhood (that is, up until power was restored on the block by PG&E). The decor was stunning, their love story parody uniquely played out by selected guests was well thought out, and last but definitely not least, the AMAZING seven course dinner (give or take, I lost count). Great food, great libations, and definitely great ambiance.
David & Ronee, thank you again for letting us be a part this day. Here’s to more adventures!
